Job Summary

The Business Manager will be responsible for achieving the financial and operational objectives set for West business in Taiwan. He/She will partner the Regional Sales Director for Rest of Asia region and the respective cross-functional teams in developing and executing the local business strategic and tactical initiatives for the Taiwan business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development of the West business in Taiwan
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets through identifying opportunities with existing and new accounts.
  • Lead in successful delivery of business objectives through high quality planning and execution of tailored key account plans
  • Build and leverage on networks and relationships with key customers to expand and growth the West business
  • Build business plans that are fully aligned with the regional strategy and to feed into the regional business planning process in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Build and leverage on networks and relationships with key customers to expand and growth the West business
  • Execute the market strategy and objectives for both West and Daikyo products/solutions
  • Understand customer needs and voices to uncover additional opportunities within accounts assigned across all products and solutions.
  • Participate in key external events and meetings. E.g. Client meetings, presentations and roundtable etc.
  • Manage the local sales processes and ensure adoption of CRM system and data integrity on CRM
  • Be responsible for the accuracy of the monthly and quarterly reports
  • Manage the mix of cross-functional and cross regional technical resources (e.g. TCS, R&D, Strategic Accounts and Regional Key Account s) to optimize the value of accounts and deliver business objectives
  • Implement the agreed pricing strategy formulated for each customer segment so that West achieves the planned gross margins per customer and per segment
  • Ensure proper use of Key Account Management tools to build robust relationships with key customers
  • Ensure that distributors keep to their contractual obligations
  • Ensure high ethical standards are always maintained and full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry codes and internal policies and procedures
  • Other relevant duties and projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree in Science or related discipline; MBA preferred but is not mandatory
  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant work experiences in B2B , globalized and matrixed commercial environment
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese languages (both spoken and written) is a must
  • Prior experience working with biotechnology/biosimilar industry is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of rubber/elastomer technology or pharmaceutical/medical device industry would be an added advantage

Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel at least 30-40% of the time domestically with occasional travels within the region.
