Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Auto White Balance (AWB) tuning for mobile products.
  • Experience in developing AWB algorithms, tuning, image benchmark, and numerical analysis consumer camera and/or computational photography techniques.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of industry experience in AWB.
  • Experience with coding in C, C++, and/or Python.
  • Understanding of machine learning or image/video processing algorithms for consumer photography or mobile applications.

Responsibilities

  • Invent AWB algorithm functions suitable with different camera sensors and modules, set up tuning strategies and required tests for validating image tuning, and manage final image quality tuning of Android camera products.
  • Evaluate the AWB architectural design and algorithms for digital photography, computer insight, or machine intelligence scenarios, and commercialize features to set tuning strategy for Google products and features.
  • Work with 3A/Internet Service Provider (ISP) development team and stakeholders to efficiently understand, cooperate, and set AWB tuning strategies to new features.
  • Develop automation structure, simulator, and tools to empower tuning efficiency.
