Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in testing products for manufacturing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware testing, system bring up, and design validation.
  • Experience in debug, troubleshooting, and failure analysis investigation.
  • Experience with audio and acoustic measurements using standard off-the-shelf instrumentation (e.g., SoundCheck, Audio Precision, or Bruel and Kjaer), and with designing audio test fixtures/audio analysis software suitable for high volume manufacturing.
  • Experience working with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners, and supporting FATP lines shipping high volume consumer audio products.
  • Expertise in mechanical and software in audio test station development.
  • Proficiency in coding in C, Python, and knowledge in a Unix/Linux environment.

As an Audio Test Engineer, you will manage one of the key consumer satisfaction metrics - functional performance of the device. You’ll be a key member of the cross-functional team, working on launching the product. You’ll also manage factory test stations from Concept to Mass Production.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance for factory test stations, and develop with Design/Engineering teams functional specifications for the product and implement at the factory.
  • Recommend design/test coverage improvement. Be responsible for implementation, yield/parametric data, correlation, and with playing point into Software Engineering teams for factory images, test scripts, and requirements.
  • Provide covers system-level, mechanical level, and test/surface mount technology/design for manufacturing. Provide test station sign-off criteria for MP and test station development for verification testing.
  • Provide early field failure analysis program support and drive to closure potential test gaps/correlations issues between our extended workforce/manufacturing processes. Work with Engineering teams to define test coverage/test fixture requirements.
  • Provide test software development/test fixture development and be responsible for SMT/FATP test readiness and execution. Engage with Engineering on design for testability.
