Job Description: Lead a team of scientists to achieve differentiating genetic or chemical modulations of NK/T/macrophage cell functions to facilitate development of unique cell therapies targeting selected heme-onc or solid tumors. Accountabilities including but limiting to 1) rapidly derive differentiating composition of genetic modifications to significantly enhance targeted immune cell functions and adaptation to tumor microenvironment, 2) establish state-of-the-art facility to perform cutting edge immune-oncology research, and 3) recruit top talents to advance the contribution of Cell Therapy Unit to BeiGene pipeline Design and execute on experimental strategies to achieve project goals within defined scope. Manage and communicate project and budget status, timeline, and roadblocks to senior leaders and stakeholders. Recruit, mentor, and develop critical team members to enhance productivity and continuity Evaluate next generation technologies for in-licensing or collaborations Qualification Required: PhD in immunology, oncology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields 10+ years of relevant experience in immune biology in industry or academia. Prior experience in oncology or cell therapy is a plus. Track-record of research achievements demonstrated by impactful publications in peer- reviewed journals, conference presentations, or patents.
