We are currently seeking purpose-driven candidates with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as an Asia Environmental Specialist. This position will be located in Taiwan.SummaryDetermine Asian customer recurring testing requirements (i.e., RoHS, etc.) and coordinate testing and report submission to relevant parties, as required. Understand the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements and Asian logistics to get raw materials to America in a timely and cost-efficient manner.Responsibilities

• Determine requirements, implement, and manage environmental regulatory compliance needs for new and existing chemicals for each country or customer, as appropriate, in a timely manner to meet customer demand.
• Determine appropriate registration/notification threshold (i.e. R&D, Small Volume, Polymer exemption/polymer of low concern, full notification / registration).
• Set up registration volume ORACLE® alert triggers for each country.
• Submit annual reports for reporting requirements.
• Contract with registration companies to establish “Only Representative” status in those countries where required.
• For each country, determine and implement environmental regulatory compliance for new chemicals where you will determine appropriate registration/notification threshold for research and development, small volume, polymer exemption/polymer of low concern, full registration/notification, and set up registration volume Oracle alert triggers for each country.
• Contract with registration companies to establish Only Representative status in those countries that require an Only Representative. If the resident office doesn’t have the resources to manage the registration responsibilities, appoint an Only representative.
• Determine the requirements to manage regulatory compliance.
• Determine if resident office has the resources to manage

Credentials and Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Management, or Chemistry preferred
• 3-5 years experience in Asia chemical environmental compliance required
• Chemical Industry experience preferred
