• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in acoustic design and execution on consumer electronic products.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• 4 years of experience leading acoustic design and execution for consumer electronics.
• Experience in acoustic solutions for wearable, mobile phone, and/or hearable products.
• Experience with acoustic test tools (e.g., SoundCheck, Klippel, Audio Precision, Polytec) and simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, Ares).
• Experience in shipping end-to-end acoustic solutions from product concepts through production.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to translate technical tradeoffs to customer impact, influence product decisions, navigate and resolve ambiguity.

In this role, you will customize audio hardware solutions, integrate them into new products, and collaborates with diverse audio and cross-functional teams to build compelling, high quality audio experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of speakers and microphone in new consumer electronic devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Design, Engineering, Product, Operations teams to achieve acoustic solutions balancing ambitious performance, space, cost, and user experience goals.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to scope new components and technologies.
• Manage acoustic simulations (lumped sum and finite element methods) and lab testing of acoustic modules and products to validate and optimize performance.
• Support module and product factories to define and guide assembly, test, failure analysis throughout engineering prototype builds and mass production.
