Role Purpose

The role is responsible to drive the business growth of Cards and Loans business in Taiwan, including proposition development, pricing, retention, service, communication and product management within the parameters of the Group strategy.

The individual will grow the business with the responsibility for leading the synchronization between market/regional/group requirements as well as leading the product management team. The individual will deliver the P&L as set for sales and retention targets for products.

Job Contents

  • Own Cards & Loans goals with accountability for P&L targets
  • Manage above and below the line initiatives and execute global campaigns.
  • Ensure all customer solutions and offers are consistent with the product mix and proposition and relevant for Taiwan.
  • Provide oversight and regional guidance for P&L performances and issues, with insightful strategic analysis / directions across WPB.
  • This role is responsible for the implementation of Group solutions and related business plan for Taiwan through a customer-centric approach.
  • Work with Asia Card Centeral team on all strategic initiatives
  • Work with Risk and Analytics to improve our customer selection criteria to ensure healthy portfolio growth
  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (physical channels, contact centre, marketing, digital channels and DnA ) to ensure coordinated delivery as well as external stakeholders (ie. Visa/ Mastercard) and system providers for the service Bank’s customers
  • Provide leadership and support, coach, motive and training of the staff to maximize team performance, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same in the best interest of HSBC and customers
  • Encourage and enable constructive cross-team work by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenge actions and behaviours not consistent with HSBC diversity policy
  • Proactively manage financial and non-fiancial risk and promote HSBC balance risk culture
  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and easy identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise

Requirement

  • University graduated or above, commercial related preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of retail banking product/marketing related experience or quivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the customer-centric concept and its impact on customer relationships.
  • Possess financial industry working experience, and strong knowledge of unsecured lending product.
  • Ability to planning and execution independently, good in communication with internal/ external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop team member capacity and set up a well performance team through a strong leadership.
  • Logic thinking, strong data analysis skill
  • Prerequisite License Requirement:
