Customs and Logistic Manager - TW

Location:Taipei, Taiwan

Key Responsibilities
  • Primarily based onshore providing support to all packages for custom clearance of the assets and the needs of transporting cargoes from one location to another
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day work of the logistic agents
  • Responsible for coordinating the custom or logistic interface between contractors when necessary and/or internally with different package teams including the finance department for tax payment
  • Responsible for custom clearance of offshore wind farm components and related equipment including but not limited to offshore substation, jackets and topsides, WTG foundation jackets and pin piles, and cables
  • Responsible for preparation of all documentation required for custom clearance process
  • To provide expert knowledge and recommendations to the project on the logistic set up to optimise project efficiency and costs
  • To consolidate transportation and custom clearance requirements and monitor the status of company’s owned assets or equipment (i.e., free issue materials)
  • To identify and advise import restrictions or testing requirements.
  • To supervise logistic handling process including packaging, storage, lifting and lashing, and transporting methods
  • To review logistic agent’s documentations including quotations, proposals, planning and invoices
  • To support project budget control for logistic costs, tax
  • Highlight operational risks and develop mitigation measures as part of the overall risk management process.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Port Package Manager
Key Requirements
  • 5 - 10+ years of experience as shipping carrier, logistic agent, custom borker or similar.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with handling offshore wind industry components and heavy-duty cargoes, preferably in Taiwan.
  • Good understanding of global shipping and international trade industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistic management, international trade, and supply chain management or similar discipline
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
