MicroE Country Leader TaiwanIn line with the direction to strengthen local Taiwan organization to drive growth over the next 5 years, and to build up a local team that less reliant on the distributor, there is now a need for strong local country leader.
The Country Leader is to lead a multi-functional team comprising of Sales, R&D, Scientific Lab Services, Quality, Marketing and possibly Logistics and Customer Service.
Minimum qualification:
- At least 10-15 years sales experiences in multi-national organization of Industrial or Microelectronics industry, with proven record of accomplishment in managing and supervising a multi-culture team in a related field.
- Experience in both line and staff positions
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or science. MBA preferred
- Experienced or knowledgeable in purification and filtration markets.
- Knowledge of contemporary management principles.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing principles
- Business Unit Responsibilities – 80%
- Responsible for leading all commercial activities for the assigned Business Unit within the Taiwan. Ensures attainment of financial and strategic goals while maximizing the return on invested capital. Responsible for executing current and long-range strategic plans and goal deployment objectives within the assigned scope as defined by regional Vice President.
- Country or Geographic Responsibilities – 20%
- The senior local representative for Pall Corporation, the incumbent represents the corporation to all Pall associates, regardless of business unit or function, and to local government, civic organizations and customers. Responsible for leading initiatives and priorities across all business units and functions within the assigned country and/or geography. Key tasks include Compliance, Local Statutory matters, Talent Management & Development, and Associate Engagement.
- Assist in development of the business unit’s strategic plan to ensure sustainable profitable business growth. Refreshes plan annually to maintain a three-year horizon.
- Periodically review and adapt business priorities based on market environment, market and customer requirements, regulatory requirements, competition, and Pall Corporation Objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities via active collaboration with marketing and business development activities.
- Lead and grow through challenges by formulating and implementing country objectives, ensuring that the country is operating effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure Taiwan prospers and grows by delivering innovative solutions via excellent sales strategies, promotional activities, and other initiatives designed to increase the level of awareness and sales in the country.
- Establishes effective relationship with all stakeholders with a strong focus on external partnerships.
- Customer and partner relationship management. Monitor relationships and ensure that any issues of concern are properly handled in a diplomatic and reasonable manner. Ensure good communication channels are in place and proper conduits for issue resolution.
- Highly competent and knowledgeable in leading a salesforce.
- Identification of market opportunities, trends and conduit for innovative ideas. Review current trade information sources, and target potential local associations in partnership way.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback on market conditions including pricing, competitor activity and marketing initiatives.
- Strong analytical power that enables fast and sound judgment be made is required by this job which very often has to understand the conflicting interests of different departments in order to be able to assess the potential impact any such “conflict” may have on service quality; business cost and internal resource plan so as to lead parties involved to decide on the next action required amicably and promptly.
- Use communications and available tools to build a high performing team and re-enforce Pall’s DBS mindset.
- Provides adequate infrastructure of resources, systems, processes, and procedures, while leveraging existing Pall Corporate infrastructure,
- Develops and maintains strong and effective internal business and working relationships across Pall.
- Develops talent and adapts workforce competencies to meet evolving business needs.
- Use rewards and recognition to help cultivate a DBS mindset, leadership at every level, performance excellence and teamwork.
- Actively leads Pall’s Talent Management processes: Look for, reward and reinforce leadership at every organizational level. Hold self and other leaders within the BU accountable for completing people processes (goal setting, performance reviews, compensation planning, etc.) in a timely and quality manner.
- Take timely, corrective action to improve performance that does not meet expectations.
- Foster internal movement across business units and/or OpCos via Danaher’s Talent Development practices.
- Serve as a role model for others and act in a manner consistent with Pall’s values.
