Minimum qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience with algorithm development in any of auto focus, phase detection, auto white balance, auto exposure, or auto flicker detection/correction.
  • Experience in camera imaging pipeline and image quality metrics.
  • Experience in programming languages such as C or C++.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or in a relevant field.
  • 6 years of experience Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in image processing, computer vision, and computational photography development.
  • Experience in Android mobile camera software development such as camera driver, hal, framework and application.
  • Experience in any of Python and Neon programming.

About The Job

In this role, you’ll work with Software/Quality/Tuning Engineers to optimize the implementation, test and tune the algorithm for mobile devices. You will also develop the methodology for automated and expedited tuning for reduce manual effort. You will develop auto exposure, auto focus and auto white balance algorithms and work with Software Engineers to integrate the algorithm into the Android platform and optimize performance. You’ll lead commercializing the algorithms on mobile devices and work with image quality engineers to fine tune the algorithm for highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop mobile camera algorithms related to 3A (auto focus, autowhite balance, and auto exposure) that are computational efficient.
  • Evaluate new camera hardware technologies.
  • Collaborate with research team to turn research ideas into shippable camera features.
