Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish togetherIn this role, you will be a more senior and integral part of our HR operational team. responsible for delivering excellence in design and support of our processes related to core HR (hires, employment changes, departures, ad hoc changes) and all varieties of customer service supporting these processes for 29,000 TELUS internal team members and external customers across Canada. Alongside, the larger P&C Operations team, you will:
  • Deliver superior team member experiences by providing HR operational expertise and guidance to all customers and stakeholders
  • Bridge the gap between system and people by being the business process expert of the various HR tools we use providing ongoing coaching to our hr operational specialists
  • Bring a mindset of innovation, continuous improvement and lifelong learning by challenging the status quo and implementing process improvements, all while elevating your knowledge along the way
  • Protect and ensure integrity of our overall data through audits, automation, and a relentless focus on safeguarding our team member data

  • Delight our customers and stakeholders by being the expert in your field and taking ownership of our their end-to-end experience
  • Manage service related escalations from a variety of customers and stakeholders
  • Ask why; be the advocate for our customers, the advisor to our partners, the pioneer for our team, and the ambassador for our business
  • Partner with stakeholders across P&C and the business to improve our processes, find efficiencies, and drive everyday innovation
  • Informally support and coach the team through their day-to-day transactional processing
  • Showcase proficient knowledge of the overall Google Suite of tools, including an advanced level of Excel
  • Enhance our use of the new SuccessFactors core HR, time and payroll (EC, ECT, ECP) technology to support our deliverables
  • Ensure TELUS is compliant with both provincial and federal legislation and all collective agreement language
  • Meet both internal and external Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control requirements
  • Be accountable for the accuracy, limit in use and protection of team member data within your role
QualificationsWhat you bring
  • Curious mind, an appetite to learn different things, and a knack of spotting new opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across and at all levels of the organization
  • Coaching and informal leadership experience
  • Creative problem solving skills and flexibility to adapt in diverse situations
  • Ability to manage changing priorities / tight deadlines effectively in a very fast-paced and high volume environment; ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations
  • Minimum 5-9 years of HR administrative, operational and process experience supporting a diverse group of large/complex customers including management professionals and team members covered under different collective agreements in both federal and provincial jurisdictions
  • Strong HR systems experience supporting team member lifecycle (hire, change, departure,ad hoc) processes
  • Bilingual in English and French, both written & oral, required
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, an asset
