Maktar is seeking an experienced and proactive Amazon Growth Strategist to join its USA team. This person would provide day-to-day support to Maktar’s growing client roster by creating end-to-end strategies across the Amazon ecosystem – from opportunity analysis to operational management and organic content creation to paid advertising – and more. The Amazon Growth Strategist reports directly to and works closely with the US Regional Manager – as well as often collaborating with the Channel Account Manager and Lead Content Creation. The Amazon Growth Strategist should be a subject matter expert in all-things Amazon and ecommerce marketplace strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the sales and marketing efforts for clients’ Amazon activities, while driving significant revenue gains and supporting clients’ vision for channel maximization.
  • Audit and launch Amazon accounts, while identifying opportunities and developing strategic roadmaps to accomplish program goals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of best practices, selling metrics, and day-to-day operations on Amazon for both Seller Central and Vendor Central accounts.
  • Lead pricing strategies by evaluating and appropriating price points and program allocations while targeting sales and profitability goals.
  • Oversee technical planning by providing order inventory data integration advice.
  • Lead item setup by auditing product portfolio data, implementing data mapping and site taxonomy, as well as overseeing product listing launches, process development, general best practices, and ongoing troubleshooting.
  • Create content and lead organic marketing efforts by auditing, evaluating, and enhancing product descriptions/bullet points, developing new copy on an ongoing basis for new product listings, and creating keyword strategies to drive increased traffic.
  • Implement best-in-class strategy of A+ content to increase clients’ brand recognition, emphasizing differentiation from competitors and elaborating on features.
  • Drive paid advertising strategy by auditing, evaluating, and enhancing campaigns; developing new campaigns as directed, providing ongoing campaign management and optimization.
  • Lead category/product trend insights and competitive reviews by providing landscape insights, strategic recommendations, and ongoing advice.
  • Oversee sales reporting and analysis by monitoring sales, reporting on trends, and providing actionable guidance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of successful experience in each of the Responsibilities listed above
  • 4-year college degree in applicable discipline (Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Marketing, Advertising) preferred
  • Demonstrated comfort in a strategic leadership role with autonomy preferred
  • Proven success as an analytical thinker
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with outstanding communication skills
  • Capacity to create relationships with a multitude of personality types
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Diligent attention to detail and consistency of work
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • English efficiency is a must, and basic Chinese understanding is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45,000 - 55,000 NTD/month (Negotiable)
